I'm sure this will just take a while to get used to working with, but here's my experience.This base coat leaves streaks in the silver coloring of you use a thin layer like you would normal gel polish. Instead you need to apply a thicker coat and let sit for 1-2 minutes before curing. If your base coat looks bad, the color coat will look just as bad.After I used the technique above I found no problem with it.It's probably user error as this was my 1st experience using this type of base coat.Color: ALX-14 (2 coats) on top of aluminix base coatI love this color so much!! I'm getting compliments left and right on these!I day they're a blue, but everyone wise calls them purple.The base coat is a little challenging to apply as it needs to sit for a couple minutes before curing to get the full aluminum effect. That's part of the reason I used 2 coats of this to help hide the imperfections.This product looks amazing when painting the nail or design but once you cure the gel under your light, it turns cloudy instead of still having the mirror finish. Disappointed in this chrome.The chrome base for this line of polish is not really a mirror finish chrome. It's more like a satin or matte finish silver polish. I was hoping that it would be really a chrome finish but it's not. When you first apply the silver base, it looks really chrome and is a really nice finish. However when you cure that layer, that chrome finish dulls and turns into a more matte silver finish. Applying the top coat doesn't make it any more chrome. So i think I will stick with my chrome powders for now since the chrome effect is much better with them.This is still a nice gel polish, but it's just a silver gel polish, not really chrome at all.Simply Gorgeous was not expecting such a perfect gel polish it looks like liquid metal so so awesomeLove this polish I actually got it just for the mirror I don’t plan on using it as a base for colors.
