I have collected Polish stoneware for a number of years and each piece I select (often Unikat pieces) is really a work of art, as is this mug, complete with the last name and first name initial of the specific artist who designed/painted/stamped this piece. The Blue Rose Pottery store had always taken great care in packing all the items they supply and carry a range of pieces that are always worth exploring. If you are looking for qualty pottery pieces, this is the place to start.These mugs are so lovely! I also love that they are hand painted in Poland- I gave 2 to my Godfather because of that- and he loved them! I even liked them so much I got ones for myself!The first one I bought caught my daughter's eye, so I gave it to her -- then bought a second one for me. Nobody's going to get this one! I'm including a comparison between this mug and the smaller Athena one (not a bubble mug) so you can get an idea of how much coffee they each hold. The photo showing the inside of the cup and mug makes it look like they are very dark. They aren't -- they're the same color as the rim. I don't know why they photograph as they do.Product is exactly as described. It is truly beautifully magnificent. The hand painting is crafted and artistic. I bought 2 for the different Native American herbal teas I drink. The larger size is exactly what I wanted and keeps my teas warmer. Love that I can use in the microwave. Worth every penny.Sent this mug to my sister for her birthday and she loves it. The colors are the nicest hues of blue. A perk is that it fits under the spout of her coffee machine.I have 8 of these now. I use them everyday and run them through the dishwasher. After several years of constant use, they still look new! They hold about 12 ounces with room for cream. They keep coffee warmer than a china cup. They fit well in the hand and the handle is comfortable. I would love more of them but they are definitely pricy especially when you have to pay $20-$30 shipping on an order of two mugs. Also I can only seem to find them on Amazon.com but not on Amazon.ca - what's with that??
