I read the reviews before buying and there were lots of negative responses saying it wasn't a luxury product and the bottle was damaged. My results are different, I thought the bottle was lovely, I think they thought the dent was damage. When really it was a feature of the bottle itself(?) The polish itself was gorgeous, it lasted a long time, and I will buy more colors. Ignore the negative reviews, I love mine ❤I've purchased several colors of this polish so my review is for the brand, including this color. I am an experienced manicurist and have done my own nails for 30+ years, so I'm very familiar with a wide range of products. The consistency of this polish is a little thicker than my usual brands, but the coverage is better and it goes on smoothly and easily. I really like the brush applicator, it is wide enough to cover most of the nail in one stroke. My manicures have lasted longer than with any other product I've ever used. It has beautiful coverage, no chips, and excellent shine; even after normal household chores like washing dishes, scrubbing counters, etc. I did several manicures before writing my review and had the same results each time. My current manicure is 2 1/2 weeks old and still perfect. Full disclosure; I have thin, weak nails, but take good care of them and they are quite long. I use an excellent base/top coat (Nailtiques #2) and apply multiple coats (the more coats, the better because it adds strength). I never use polishes with hardeners, gels, or artificial nails as they weaken natural nails. Also, I bought this color and another that arrived in the same box, but this color was broken. Although they don't normally make refunds, I sent photos of the broken bottle still in the unopened plastic sleeve and they refunded me for this bottle. I'm very happy with this product. It's a great value even though it's more expensive than bargain brands, but it's worth every penny because it lasts longer and covers better so you'll use less. As a penny-pinching "valuista," I highly recommend it.Bottle leaked in transit and no option to return or replace. Very irritating given the price.. Polish color was not as pretty as i thought it would be. It's very sheer and nearly invisible by itself. Good to accent another bolder color thoughI super-love Smith & Cult nail polishes. I have a small collection of seven (six colors plus top coat) and all of them have outstanding performance and color. At the price point it's an indulgence, but this brand is not only luxurious, but is safer than most other brands. "8-Free Formula: No Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, & Triphenyl Phosphate." This brand comes out on top of my rotation of LVX, Butter London, Deborah Lippmann, and Zoya. This shade: Peaceful Paranoia. It's truly the most perfect nude for me! I have a warm SE Asian skin tone and this color tones in perfectly on my nails. I love the subtle shimmer in this polish. It's pretty and dressy without being blingy -- I'm not a glitter girl.On my toes, with a base coat, two coats of color, and S&C top coat, this easily lasts 6 weeks with hardly a chip. On my fingers, definitely a full week, sometimes up to two. The longevity is impressive. The application is gorgeous. It feels thicker than other brands but levels beautifully. The finish with top coat looks very professional. The brush is flat which I find easier to use than a round brush. If you haven't tried Smith & Cult, treat yourself right now! Once you do though you'll get addicted. Having a favorite bottle of Smith & Cult will bring more happiness than ten bottles of cheap polish.I recently discovered Smith and Cult though Ipsy. I became a fan right away. I paint my nails every week and rarely will a color make it the week without chips or wearing, but Smith and Cult does! This bottle in the shade Peaceful Paranoia was a birthday treat to myself. At $18 it is a big splurge for nail polish. I removed a star because of the shade description, be aware, it is not the hint of purple color it appears online. This color is definitely beige, a beautiful beige with just a hint of pink shimmer, but not the color I was expecting. And, I did read a ton of reviews first. I would buy another color the next time I want a treat, but would hope to do it in person.I don’t have this particular color but a must have with Smith & Cult nail polish is their bottom coat. I’ve never seen a better bottom coat in any brand of nail polish-not even in the nail salons. I usually do my own nails but when there’s a special occasion & I want airbrush designs on my nails I ALWAYS bring my Smith & Cult base coat with me to use as the base. I think it’s called the “Basis of Everything”. I ran out & have been using a store bought base coat but it doesn’t compare with the Smith & Cult under coat. The Smith & Cult Basis of Everything lasts about 3-3 1/2 weeks before my nails start to chip. I would also recommend their top coat “Above It All”. It leaves a beautiful shine even if you use a quick dry coat on your nails. Wait until the quick dry is completely dry, wash your hands well (bc most quick dry coats have some oils in them) and then when your nails are completely dry put on the top coat. BEAUTIFUL! And the colors are very rich. I like the blues, nuetrals, reds and greens.I cannot wear any bright or dark nail polish colors to work, so thought I would give this a try in the hopes it’s sheer enough to be pretty, yet acceptable, and after giving it a test I am so happy I made this purchase!Painting only one coat, with clear base and top coats, you can barely tell it’s there, but when shifting my hand there is a beautiful blue/purple iridescence that I have received numerous compliments on.I have also used this as a topper over a solid magenta and it also gives it a gorgeous iridescence.Definitely my new go-to for spring and summer. I will most likely purchase another bottle just to ensure I’ll have it on hand should the color get discontinued in the future. The shade (1972) is more of a foil and perfect for my skin tone. A true rose gold in my opinion. I have been doing my own nails since the pandemic and doing very well in the application of nail polishes. So, after doing two coats of polish and a top coat, I could see brush marks and bubbles on all my fingers. Brush marks, I can overlook but not bubbles. Maybe it's just my bottle. This nail polish is a great colour with shimmer (rose gold) on day five no chips anywhere so far. Compared to other “regular” (not gel) nail polishes that is impressive. I also purchased the matching brand top coat, that may help the cause. The coverage is good but disappointed by the silver metallic color the name lead me to believe it was a white snowflake color - NOT metallic. That being said, this is good quality push. I have 6.Love this polish! Always looks fresh!Add 1 coat of Enchanted ( Butter London)I have received many compliments!I used this colour and applied 2 coats. I let it dry and had no issues with it until I went to bed and got up the following morning with texture marks from my sheets. After allowing it to dry all day I was surprised this happened
